The world's first fully-automated robotic convenience store is opening in the metro. The company, "Shop 24/7," is putting the machine inside the downtown Greyhound bus station.

The machine bridges the gap between the traditional store and the type of vending machines we're used to seeing.

"Some would say it's an oversized vending machine, but it has a lot more cap than that. It can vend a lot more items that. It can dispense a gallon of milk to a loaf of bread and anything in between," Brandon Thomason said.

The company says the machine in the Greyhound bus station will be fully operational in a couple days.

More locations are in the works across the city.
