Tulsans Turn Parking Spaces Into Green Space

Some folks actually transformed parking spaces into a park in Downtown Tulsa on Friday.

The idea is to show the importance of green spaces in cities on International Parking Day

"Just here playing games. What else is there to do? What do you do in a park except hang out and play games, Right? Read a book, " organizer Joey Evans said. "… people drive by. A lot of people are jealous in their cars."

This year, organizers only took over three parking spaces.

But they're hoping to expand that next year.
