Just after the shooting, police said they were looking for as many as six suspects. On Friday, September 21st, officers responded to a disturbance near S.E. 44th Street and Shields. They found several people there, including 14-year-old Cienna Doddles.

During the investigation, police discovered Doddles may be connected to Lomach's homicide. Police interviewed her, then booked her into the Oklahoma County jail on several complaints, including first-degree murder, armed robbery with a dangerous weapon, first-degree burglary, and kidnapping.
