TU's Dexter McCoil Named C-USA Defensive Player Of The Week

University of Tulsa defensive back Dexter McCoil was named the Conference USA Defensive Player of the Week in a vote by the league's media members.

McCoil had 10 tackles and two pass-breakups in Tulsa's 27-26 victory over Fresno State Saturday night.

The TU defense held Fresno's powerful offense to just two touchdowns and 136 yards below the Bulldogs' average.

This is the first such recognition of McCoil's career and the first for a Tulsa player in 2012.
