Dozens of people were on hand to welcome the veterans home.
TULSA, Oklahoma -
Just over 100 military veterans are back in Oklahoma after a one day flight to Washington, D.C. Tuesday.
Dozens of family and friends were on hand as the veterans arrived back at Tulsa International Airport just before 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The flight was part of the Honor Flights program. The trip was funded by a national non-profit organization that is dedicated to flying veterans free of charge to visit the World War II Memorial and Arlington Cemetery in DC.
Over a third of those who went on Tuesday's flight were over the age of 90.
