Here are some important numbers and statistics from a drama-filled game in Stillwater on Saturday night, where Oklahoma State fell to the No. 12 Texas Longhorns 41-36.

7 – The number of incompletions for Texas quarterback David Ash. The oft-criticized sophomore rose to the occasion for the Longhorns, carving up OSU's secondary for 304 yards and three touchdowns on 30-of-37 passing. The Cowboys were clearly committed to stopping the run and Ash proved he could pass against a talented secondary, a bet the Cowboy defensive staff lost.

3 – The number of touchdown receptions for Texas receiver Jaxon Shipley, matching his total for the entire 2011 season. Shipley had five catches for 82 yards.

211 – Joseph Randle's total yards from scrimmage. The Cowboys' all-conference running back put the offense on his back and shed tackle after tackle in a memorable performance. Randle finished with 199 yards rushing on 25 carries with two scores, averaging eight yards per carry. He also hauled in two catches for 12 yards.

69 – The distance Randle covered on his opening-drive touchdown scamper, which is a new career-long for the Wichita native. Randle's previous long was a 62 against Baylor in 2011.

357 – The total yardage tally for OSU quarterback J.W. Walsh in his first collegiate start. The Denton, Texas, native looked poised in a tough situation, making only one notable mistake with a first-quarter interception. Walsh completed 18-of-27 passes for 301 yards and two touchdowns, while rushing for 57 yards.

1 – Oklahoma State's rank nationally in total offense and scoring entering the game. And playing likely the best defense it will face all season, the OSU offense still reeled off impressive numbers. Texas entered the game allowing just 328 yards per game but OSU put 582 on the ‘Horns in a losing effort.

7 (again) – Tonight's showing of 56,709 fans in Boone Pickens Stadium marked the seventh largest crowd in OSU history. That number is made more impressive by the fact that this was OSU's marquee game on the schedule, requiring a season ticket to attend. All three of OSU's home crowds this season rank in the top 10 all-time.

22 – The number of consecutive games the Cowboys have scored more than 30 points, which is the longest streak in the nation. Oregon is No. 2 with 17.

3.2 – The yards-per-carry average for the vaunted Texas rushing attack. OSU's run defense looked suspect in a loss at Arizona but really stiffened against a talented UT backfield. Texas finished with just 136 yards on 42 carries.

61- Texas' game-winning touchdown run will be wildly discussed in the coming days, as a strong argument can be made that UT fumbled (which was recovered by the Cowboys) before crossing the goal line. That said, UT wouldn't have been in that position had it not blistered the Cowboy secondary for 61 yards in a matter of seconds earlier in the drive. Texas was faced with a fourth-and-6 from its own 29-yard line but Ash completed a 29-yard strike to D.J. Grant to keep the drive alive. After an incomplete pass, Ash connected on a bomb down the right sideline to Mike Davis over the outstretched arm of Justin Gilbert to the 5-yard line to set up the winning score.
