Investigation Into Discovery Of Muskogee Body Continues

MUSKOGEE, Oklahoma -

Muskogee Police believe they know the identity of a body found in a wooded area Friday afternoon, but are waiting on dental records before they release the name.

A dog led police to the badly decomposed body in the 600 block of North 12th Street. The dog had found a hand from the body and dropped it in front of some Muskogee city workers.

Muskogee Police say there were no indications into the cause of death at the scene.
