Cowgirl keeper AD Franch has been named the Big 12 Conference Defensive Player of the Week.

Franch helped No. 17 Oklahoma State to a win and a tie at home last weekend. She made 14 saves and a shutout in the two matches. On Friday, she recorded her fifth shutout of the season and added to her school-record career total with her 37th in a 1-0 win over Iowa State. In that game, she made four saves. The senior's 37 career shutouts are tied for seventh on the NCAA's all-time list.

In Sunday's game against OU, Franch set a career high with 10 saves, including saving a penalty kick in the first overtime, in a 1-1 tie.

This is the third time Franch has earned Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week honors in her career and the first time this season.
