KEOTA, Oklahoma -

A Spiro woman was stabbed multiple times early Thursday morning after an altercation with her boyfriend's former girlfriend.

OSBI agents and other local officers are interviewing the people involved and others who may have information about the incident.

Investigators say Tara Parks, 32, and her boyfriend, Kendall McCormick, 36, went to his former girlfriend's home, at 106 Broadway in Keota, reportedly to retrieve his clothing. There, a fight ensued between the former girlfriend and Parks.

Parks was stabbed multiple times outside of the home around 4 a.m.

The OSBI said Parks' boyfriend attempted to transport her to a hospital in LeFlore County, but stopped for help in Panama.

An ambulance transported Parks to a softball park, and she was then taken by helicopter to a Tulsa area hospital.

Agents have not yet arrested anyone for the stabbing, but McCormick was arrested on an unrelated warrant.

McCormick was booked into the LeFLore County jail.
