Traffic is once again flowing on eastbound Interstate 44 after a semi-truck crashed into a bridge and closed the turnpike for more than two hours.

The accident occurred around noon on the Turner Turnpike at Triple X Road near Luther. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the semi slammed into an overpass and toppled onto its side.

OHP shut down all eastbound lanes and diverted traffic at Interstate 35 while they cleared away the semi. The lanes reopened just after 2 p.m.

One person, the driver of the semi, was injured in the crash but he is expected to be okay.
