He has 20 Grammy awards, is a member of the Grand Ole Opry and is one of our state's treasures.

Vince Gill is an Oklahoman through and through. And even though he now lives across the country, his Sooner State roots are stronger than ever.

Gill's family still lives in the metro, so he's a frequent visitor, most recently in September for a show at his alma mater, Northwest Classen High School, when it opened its new performance hall.

That's where News 9's Amanda Taylor caught up with him backstage.
