Editor's note: We're about to move into a new building, so we're taking inventory of everything in our current one. We've found all kinds of interesting old stories and we're sharing the best of them here.

The tents are up, the beer is flowing, and the brats are on the grill—it's Oktoberfest weekend in Tulsa.

The annual celebration of German culture began here in 1979, and over the years, it's grown into one of the most well attended festivals in the country.

Rick Wells cracked open our video vault and found plenty of music, dancing, and beer barrel racing.

This year's Oktoberfest runs through Sunday at River West Festival Park.
