Construction crews in Tulsa got started on a first for the Habitat for Humanity organization Monday.

Unlike traditional Habitat  projects, where the homes are built by volunteers, this home is being built by professional builders.

It'll go up in less than a week and what makes it different is it will be built to "green standards," entirely with American-made products.

"For every part of this house that's made in America, somebody had to be hired in America to make it," said Paul Kane, CEO of the Homebuilders Association of Greater Tulsa.

The Tulsa Homebuilders' Association is paying extra for American-made supplies.

The group estimates that if every builder in the country used five percent more American-made products, it could create 220,000 jobs nationwide.
