My 2 Cents: Final Presidential Debate

I heard some of the pundits say that Mitt Romney dropped the ball tonight by not going after the President on the attack in Libya right out of the chute when he was given a chance.

Tonight's debate was a bit of a surprise.

I heard some of the pundits say that Mitt Romney dropped the ball tonight by not going after the President on the attack in Libya right out of the chute when he was given a chance.

Not sure about that strategy.

President Obama dominated the first half of the debate in my opinion.

Questioning several of Governor Romney's past statements on the Middle East.

I don't want to get into the details of the debate, but the big picture, because that's what people are going to remember.

Appearances count.

President Obama was focused and intense, which at times came across as stern, but nonetheless he was fully engaged in this debate and went on the attack on most every question.

Governor Romney was much slower out of the gate this time, and talked in broader terms about America's role as a world leader.

He did direct this debate on foreign policy back toward his strength, according to the polls, his plan to ignite the economy, and he had an uplifting closing statement.

It's a cop out to call it a draw... the President landed more punches tonight, but Governor Romney certainly presented himself as someone you could see conducting America's foreign policy.
