Oklahoma State lost its regular season game Friday night when Texas Tech handed the Cowgirls a 2-0 loss.

OSU finishes the regular season at 11-5-3, which included a 1-4-3 mark in Big 12 play. The Cowgirls will be the No. 7 seed at next week's Big 12 Championship in San Antonio and will face second-seeded Baylor in opening round action Wednesday at 8 p.m.

Friday's loss snapped OSU's six-game winning streak against Texas Tech (14-4-1, 5-2-1); entering the match, the Cowgirls had not lost to the Red Raiders since 2007.

TTU owned a 13-7 advantage on shots in the opening half, but AD Franch recorded five saves to keep the home team off the scoreboard.

The Red Raiders looked poised to finally convert early in the second half, but Franch made a save on a six-yard shot by Janine Beckie at the 51:57 mark to deny the score.

However, TTU finally broke free in the 55th minute. After Franch dropped the ball on a high cross into the box by Morgan Johnson, a mistake that created an open net situation, Beckie was there to tap the ball in for her 10th goal of the season.

The Cowgirls nearly answered in the 61st minute when Madison Mercado took a pass from Allie Stephenson and delivered a left-footed shot from 14-yards out that sailed just inches wide of the far post.

TTU added its second goal at the 70:08 mark, and again it was Beckie converting the score. After beating her defender, the Red Raider freshman sent a shot to the far post to put the home team up, 2-0.

OSU was outshot by an 18-9 margin in the match, and Franch finished with seven saves.
