Oklahoma State's Calvin Barnett was charged with driving under suspension Tuesday in Payne County.

The charge stems from an Oct. 20 accident involving the Cowboys' defensive tackle near the OSU campus.

According to the Oklahoma Court Records Network site, Barnett's license was suspended back in May following an April arrest. That arrest resulted in three misdemeanor charges including driving under suspension, driving without insurance, speeding, and failing to register his car within 30 days of purchase. This is his third driving under suspension charge and fifth traffic related charge this year.

It's unclear right now what date he will appear in court for the latest charges. He is already scheduled to appear on Nov. 19 for the May charges.

Barnett transferred to OSU last spring from Navarro Junior College in Texas. He was an All-American at Tulsa's Booker T. Washington high school. Barnett's already made an impact for the Cowboys. This season he has started in all seven games and has recorded 12 tackles for a Cowboy defense that ranks 32nd nationally in run defense. Barnett has been arguably the Cowboys' top defensive newcomer this season.
