An Oklahoma man killed in Vietnam nearly 50 years ago was finally laid to rest on Friday.
Army Major James Whited disappeared when his plane went down in 1966. Just a few years ago, a recovery mission led to finding his remains.
Originally from Detroit, Norman, Oklahoma, was the place Major James Lafayette Whited called home. On Tuesday, Major Whited's remains were returned to home to Norman.

Whited was buried with full military honors on Friday. His family also held a graveside service for him.
