Police serving a drug warrant discovered explosives at a home near Oklahoma City Community College.

Over the weekend, officers were at a suspected meth house in the 2800 block of S.W. 79th St. near May.

Oklahoma City Police Capt. Nelson said the home belonged to 51-year-old Rodger Lee Sherman. Nelson said Sherman was arrested around 8 a.m. Wednesday on a bond revocation. Once in custody, officers were told there maybe explosives in the house and then obtained a search warrant.

Officers called in the bomb squad. The squad removed the explosive and detonated it. Hazmat crews were also called to the scene to remove some dangerous chemicals.

Policed blocked off about a half-block while the bomb squad and hazmat crews worked. They say no one was in danger.
