Tulsa Zoo's oldest resident turns 62 on Friday. Gunda the elephant has been at the zoo since the mid-50's and on Friday, the Tulsa Zoo is holding a birthday party.

Tulsa Zoo's oldest resident turns 62 on Friday. Gunda the elephant has been at the zoo since the mid-50's and on Friday, the Tulsa Zoo is holding a birthday party.

Gunda is an Asian elephant, she was born in 1950 and four years later made her first appearance at the Tulsa Zoo.

At 11 a.m. Friday, zoo officials will present Gunda with a giant-sized cake to celebrate.

Every year, the Tulsa Zoo holds some sort of event surrounding her birthday and this year is no exception. To commemorate Gunda's 62nd birthday, the 62nd person to enter the zoo on Friday will receive free admission.
