Red Andrews' 60-year-old great-nephew Bob McCord has been organizing the event for the last decade, but both he and his wife are struggling with health issues. He said he finally came to the heartbreaking decision that he could no longer head the massive effort needed to put on the event.

But now, the family says another relative is stepping in to carry on the tradition.

The organization released the following statement on their Facebook page on Monday:

"Well, everyone's prayers has been answered. Betty's brother has decided to go on with the Dinner. Bob and I are glad it's going to continue and we will miss being there but wish everyone well with their endeavors to keep it going. God bless each and every one of you."
