Tulsa firefighters battled a small fire at the Heritage Apartments near 31st and Yale Monday night.

Firefighters about the fire at about 11:30 p.m. They say a man was cooking in his kitchen when something caught on fire and it quickly got out of control.

Firefighters knocked down the fire quickly and kept it from spreading.

The man was not hurt.
