Creek County Man Qualifies For Wrangler National Finals Rodeo

A Kellyville resident has qualified for this year's Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in December in Las Vegas.

For bull rider Tate Stratton, it is his third qualification.

He will start in ninth place with $78,019 in regular season earnings.

Stratton will join eight other Oklahomans who will be competing in the 10 day event. In the bull riding, Trevor Kastner, Ardmore; and Cody Whitney, Sayre; along with tie-down ropers Hunter Herrin, Apache; Ryan Jarrett, Comanche; team roper Travis Graves, Jay; barrel racer Bennette Barrington-Little, Ardmore; and bareback rider Justin McDaniel, Porum; will also compete.

To compete at the Wrangler National Rodeo Finals contestants had to be among the top 15 in the world standings.
