The University of Oklahoma soccer team earned Team Academic Award Recognition from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

The Sooners sported a team grade point average of 3.25. Oklahoma earned seven victories in 2012 under first-year head coach Matt Potter -- the most by a rookie head coach in OU history.

The NSCAA Team Academic Award was instituted in 1996. To qualify for the award, a team must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) for the 2011-12 academic year.
