We'll have to wait a little longer to find out how many American Airlines workers at Tulsa's maintenance base might lose their jobs.

Mechanics and fleet service workers affected by the first round of layoffs had until 10 a.m. Friday to accept or decline the airline's "early out" offer.

But American is now pushing the deadline to Monday at 10 a.m., because of a software glitch.

At one point, the company thought it might eliminate 4,600 Tulsa employees, but because so many accepted a buy-out, that number dropped to around 290.
