A little girl's accusations led Oklahoma City Police to arrest a registered sex offender suspected of violating the state's sex offender laws.

Jamie Owens, 21, is a registered sex offender. Police say she was staying with a friend she met at church because she'd recently become homeless.

On November 18, the friend's daughter told her mother her private parts hurt and that Owens had touched her. The mother immediately called police.

Police discovered Owens is a registered sex offender. They arrested her because not only was she living with a child, but the apartment she was staying in was within 2000 feet of a school.

Both violate Oklahoma's sex offender laws.

Owens was booked into the Oklahoma County jail. She was not arrested in connection with the child's allegations.
