Two Tulsa families will enjoy their holiday dinner in a brand new home this Thanksgiving.
That's because the Tulsa Urban League gave them those homes for free.
The families were selected in a stringent application process, and Wednesday News On 6 was there as they, for the first time, unlocked the door of their new home.
"I'm flabbergasted. I don't know what to think right now. I'm excited—I don't wanna start crying," said new homeowner Yolanda Anjorine. "It means so much. You wouldn't imagine how much it means, because we had a house before and we lost it."
The two homes were previously foreclosed on and donated to the Urban League by Wells Fargo.
Since then, volunteers have been working over the last year, restoring the homes for today's unveiling.
