A Roland firefighter in Sequoyah County was taken to a Fort Smith hospital after he was injured battling a fire in a business early Friday.

Roland firefighters say the business was fully engulfed when they arrived at about 1 a.m.

The firefighter suffered a foot injury when a concrete wall collapsed. The department said he was treated and released from the hospital.

The building, which housed Full Circle Screen Printing, was destroyed in the fire.

Fire officials say the fire started in the middle of the building, but the cause is still under investigation.

Firefighters had to battle to keep the fire from spreading to nearby buildings.

Roland is located on Interstate 40 just west of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
