Tulsa Fire parked near the pond behind Lowe's.
TULSA, Oklahoma -
Tulsa firefighters were called out for a possible pond rescue near the Lowe's store on 71st Street Tuesday morning. But it proved to be a false alarm.
The fire department got the call at about 6 a.m. after someone spotted a car submerged in the pond near Highway 169.
Access to the area was difficult because the only road in was designed for 4-wheel drive vehicles and off-road motorcycles.
At least one Tulsa Fire vehicle got stuck trying to drive to the pond.
After getting onto the pond in a boat, firefighters determined no one was inside the car.
