Police arrested a man accused of urinating from his balcony in front of several children who were playing outside his apartment.

On the evening of December 8, a group of girls between the ages of 9 and 14 was playing outside at an apartment complex in the 500 block of N. Council Road. They told police 51-year-old David Romines stepped outside onto his balcony, pulled down his pants, and urinated.

According to police, Romines said his toilet was broken. The mother of one of the girls told police after Romines finished urinating, he began to play with himself. The woman immediately told the children to go inside an apartment. She said as the children were leaving, Romines said to a 9-year-old girl, "How about you come upstairs and be friends?" She told police Romines also said, "It's all right. You don't have to be scared. I'm safe."

As soon as the woman got the children inside an apartment, she called police. A witness told police before officers arrived, he confronted Romines, who said he was "lonely" because he just moved to the complex, and wanted "girls to come up" to his room.

Police arrested Romines and booked him into the Oklahoma County jail on eight counts of lewd acts with a child.
