John Blaine Hallagin, 46, was arrested on a complaint of assault with a dangerous weapon. He was taken into custody just before 9 p.m.
Captain Jerry Smittle with the Rogers County Sheriff's Office said the daughter and her boyfriend came over to Hallagin's home to pick up a heater when an altercation took place.
The argument ended when Hallagin stabbed his son-in-law in the face in front of the couple's 7-month-old son, Smittle said.
The boyfriend was taken to a Tulsa hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to the Rogers County Sheriff's Office.
