Oklahoma's Centennial Botanical Garden is one step closer to completion. Organizers unveiled the 25-year master plan on Wednesday that will turn a portion of the Osage Hills into a sprawling 170-acre plot.

Over the last five years, crews have been hard at work, clearing away dirt that will one day be the site of more than 60 gardens. Organizers say it is a bold plan, but that the city will soon begin to see dividends when the children's garden opens in the next couple of years.

"Then we will really open the flood gates if you will, and have more services available, visitor amenities, and parking and all of that, and attract a lot of people," said Todd Lasseigne, Oklahoma Centennial Garden CEO.

When completed there will be 15 themed gardens, a chapel, and even an amphitheater with seating for 3,000 people.
