OKLAHOMA CITY -
An Oklahoma lawmaker wants a way for illegal immigrants to get jobs here.
Republican State Senator Harry Coates says he'll re-introduce a bill creating a guest worker program.
In exchange for being able to stay in Oklahoma, illegal immigrants would have to pay a $1,000 for a work permit, pass a criminal background check and find a sponsor who will hire them and prove health insurance.
A similar bill proposed last year went nowhere.
