Deputies: Sequoyah County Mother Shot In Front Of Her Child

A Vian woman is in a Tulsa hospital following a shooting in a Sequoyah County home Monday afternoon.

The Sequoyah County Sheriff's Office says Shayna Stahl, 22, is in critical condition after being flown to a Tulsa hospital.

Her husband, Raymond Stahl, 26, is in jail on complaints of shooting with intent to kill, felon in possession of a firearm and child endangerment.

When deputies arrived at the home, they found the couple's 11-month-old child standing beside the mother. Deputies believe the child witnessed the shooting.

Witnesses told deputies they saw the couple arguing prior to the shooting.

The sheriff's office says the shooting took place at the home of the victim's mother. Deputies arrested Raymond Stahl shortly after the shooting.
