Tulsa Police arrested a 22-year-old Haskell man Tuesday night after a chase that started in Sand Springs.

Sand Springs Police say they attempted to stop Brandon Oliver for stealing gasoline from a station and he took off.

Tulsa Police joined the chase as Oliver headed into Tulsa on Highway 412 at about 9 p.m.

The Tulsa Police helicopter joined the chase while Sand Springs officers continued to closely follow the suspect on the ground.

Oliver drove into the parking lot of a business near east 41st Street and south Peoria, police said.

Police say a passenger exited the vehicle and immediately surrendered while Oliver hopped the curb and sidewalk onto east 41st Street between Peoria and Utica and crashed his pickup into a Tulsa Police car.

Police say Oliver jumped out and ran into the neighborhood.

Officers from Sand Springs and Tulsa, including a K-9 officer, found him hiding under a porch.

Brandon Oliver was booked into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of assault and battery on a police officer, driving under suspension, resisting arrest, eluding, possession of stolen property and violation of the pump pirate act.

EMSA said the officer involved in the collision was transported to an area hospital to be checked out, but an officer on the scene said he seemed okay.
