The kids at Laura Dester Shelter got to open their gifts and play with their toys Monday.

TULSA, Oklahoma -
Some kids don't have their own Christmas tree for Santa to leave presents under, so old St. Nick made a special stop to fulfill their wishes.
Thanks to a $10,000 donation, the holidays will be a little brighter at the Laura Dester Shelter.
Each kid got to open presents early and meet with Santa Claus.
"Just for them to sit on Santa's lap, have someone think of them this day and for them to get a gift and have a special occasion like it is in that gymnasium right now, is huge for them," said volunteer coordinator Forrest Carpenter.
David Chernicky has been donating Christmas money to the shelter for more than six years now.
