The Thunder committed a season-low five turnovers and out-scored the Suns by 17 in the second half to ring in the New Year with a 114-96 win over Phoenix.

Russell Westbrook's balanced effort led the way for Oklahoma City. Westbrook scored 24 points, dished out nine assists and grabbed seven rebounds while only committing one turnover.

Kevin Durant added 30 as the Thunder (24-6) slowly pulled away from the Suns (11-21) and finished 2012 with yet another convincing win.

Oklahoma City shot 50.6 percent from the field, grabbed 43 rebounds, 23 assists, six steals and seven blocks, out-performing Phoenix in every category. OKC also shot 5-15 from downtown and 21-24 from the free-throw line.

The Thunder will celebrate the New Year with a new team, so to speak. The Brooklyn Nets pay their first visit to Oklahoma City Wednesday night, tip time is set for 7:00 p.m.
