A perjury indictment against a former official with an Arkansas telecommunications company has been dismissed at the request of Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt's office.

Eddie Bryson, former vice president and general manager of Oklahoma operations for Windstream Corp., was indicted by Oklahoma's multi county grand jury in September. He was accused of lying to the grand jury about basketball tournament tickets that he gave to former Broken Arrow Public Schools Superintendent Jim Sisney.

An order filed in Oklahoma County District Court indicates the perjury charge was dismissed on Thursday. Court papers state Bryson fully cooperated in the investigation of the case and denies wrongdoing.

Bryson must pay the Broken Arrow Public School Foundation $2,500, as a condition of the dismissal of charges.

Last month, bribery and conspiracy charges against Sisney were dismissed by prosecutors who agreed to defer prosecution for one year. Sisney had pleaded not guilty.

Sisney was ordered to pay the district $10,000 and Windstream Corp. was ordered to pay $100,000.
