A preliminary hearing date has been set for a Bartlesville teenager charged with planning to perform an act of violence.
Eighteen-year-old Sammie Chavez remains in the Washington County jail on a million dollars bond.
During a court appearance Friday a judge set February 21st for the preliminary hearing.
According to court documents, Chavez attempted to recruit other students to help him carry out a plan to lure students into the high school's auditorium and open fire with a gun.
School officials learned of the alleged plot and contacted Bartlesville Police who arrested Sammie Chavez at his home.
