MOUNDS, Oklahoma -
Mounds is offering a New Year's gift to anyone who has an outstanding warrant in their town. From now until January 25, anyone who has a warrant that needs to get paid can get 50 percent off what they owe.
There are some restrictions:
- Applies to warrants only, not new citations
- You either failed to appear (FTA) or failed to pay (FTP) in full to the Mounds court
- You do not owe restitution to a victim or on case within the county where the violation was filed
- Only cash or money orders will be accepted.
The total amount will be cut in half with the balance owed at time of pay-off. No arrests for the outstanding warrants will be made during the amnesty period while you're making payment. When you pay your fines, a guilty plea will be entered.
The amnesty is valid from January 14 through 4 p.m. on January 25. If you have any questions about your warrant or would like to know if you still have one, call Court Clerk Amanda Miller at 918-827-6711.
