YUKON, Oklahoma -

A former cafeteria worker at a Yukon elementary school is accused of stealing thousands of dollars in school lunch money.

Police say 54-year-old Connie Wise would pocket cash intended to pre-pay for student meals at Lakeview Elementary School. The embezzlement totaled more than $8,000.

Court records show Wise "manipulated the computer system." Wise has since resigned from her job at the school.
