Posted: Updated:

Oklahoma City University took down Oklahoma Baptist 56-33 Saturday in OKC at Abe Lemons Arena.

The Stars, ranked No. 4 in NAIA Division I women's basketball, got double-doubles from Katie Hall and Autumn Huffman to pick up their 13th consecutive win and improve to 14-2 overall and 6-0 in Sooner Athletic Conference play.

OCU pounded the paint early scoring 10 of its first 16 points in lane. The Stars scored over half of their first-half points in the paint.

At the 9:56 mark, Huffman scored in paint and Jessica Lankston followed with a transition bucket to give OCU some breathing room and spark a 14-0 run. Kayla MacKenzie capped the run with a pair of free throws to put the Stars up 26-8 with 3 minutes and 13 seconds remaining in the half.

OCU held Oklahoma Baptist to 18 percent shooting from the floor in the period to take a 26-13 lead to the locker room at halftime. The Stars shot just 35 percent from the field in the first frame, but scored 14 points off Lady Bison turnovers.

The Stars out-rebounded Oklahoma Baptist 26-13 in the first half. Hall led the OCU rebounding charge with 10 first-half boards.

Lilia Inoubli sank three free throws at the 14:46 mark to cut the OCU lead to 13 points. OCU responded with eight unanswered points from Huffman and Desiree Jeffries to stretch its lead to 41-20 with 12:45 to go.

Lankston hit the Stars' only 3-pointer of the game and Ravven Brown buried a jumper to give OCU its largest lead of the game at 48-25.

The Stars continued to score in the paint and from the free throw line to keep Oklahoma Baptist at bay and cruise to the 56-33 victory.

The Stars forced 29 Oklahoma Baptist turnovers and out-rebounded the Lady Bison 53-37 en route to the victory. OCU scored 30 points in the paint and 28 points off turnovers on the game.

Hall led the Stars with 14 points and 11 rebounds. The senior from Hazleton, Idaho, notched her fourth double-double and her seventh double-digit rebound game of the season.

Huffman added 13 points and 12 rebounds and Jeffries followed with 10 points and five rebounds.

The Stars will return to action against Mid-America Christian at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Abe Lemons Arena.
