Tulsa Fraternal Order Of Police Donates $15,000 To Special Olympics

The Tulsa Fraternal Order of Police made a $15,000 donation to the Special Olympics Wednesday.

The donation will pay for training, equipment and competitions for some of Oklahoma's 9,500 Special Olympians.

"So, for a $15,000 donation, you can assure that 75 athletes in the state of Oklahoma will be able to go to all the training seminars, to all the different games that they have, all the area games that they have, to the winter games, to the summer games," said the director of the law enforcement torch run, Mark Wollmershauser.

The donation from Tulsa's police officers was the largest of any department in the state.
