"I think it's ironic that a bomb threat should happen while we are in the Capitol while we are dressed up as Colonial Day," Patti Mellow said.

Mellow organized the events that were interrupted for more than hour following the bomb threat.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol Bomb Squad performed a sweep of the Capitol building and the Governor's Mansion.

"In this day and age we just can't take any chances and so we got everybody out," Trooper Betsy Randolph explained.

Troopers say a woman called in a threat to the Oklahoma City Police Department warning within five minutes bombs would explode at multiple locations including the Governor's Mansion.

"It was a hoax because no devices were found." Tiffany Bolding a teacher at Grove Elementary in Union said in the wake of the Newtown tragedy the threat seemed more realistic," things start to pop in your head things you have seen on the news," Randolph said.

With hundreds of children unexpectedly a part of the incident, teachers from across the state immediately practiced their precautions to get the kids to safety.

"We've already talked about how to be safe because of the Newtown you know school tragedy," Mellow said.

Now OHP told News 9 it appears the bomb threat was one woman's attempt to get another person in trouble. Troopers say the woman gave a false name while making the threats.

At this time no arrests have been made. OHP says they are pursuing a suspect and hope to have her in custody by the end of the day.
