Tulsa Man Charged With Attempted Robbery

TULSA, Oklahoma -

A Tulsa man arrested by Bixby Police on a tip last month has been charged in Tulsa County court.

Tyler Joseph Burns, 23, was charged Friday with attempted robbery and possession of a firearm while under supervision of the Department of Corrections.

Police arrested Burns January 25, 2013, in the parking lot of a pharmacy they say he was planning to rob. Burns had a ski mask, gloves and an unloaded pistol in his vehicle.

Officers received a written tip that Burns was going to rob a pharmacy at 101st Street and South Memorial Drive.
