TULSA, Oklahoma -

A Tulsa man put in the hospital by a hit and run driver and facing a long and painful recovery said he hopes someone comes forward with information to help find the driver who hit him.

Logan Wright is in a lot of pain. He said what's almost as bad as the pain is the frustration.

On January 21, 2013, Wright was walking his dog, Reggie. While crossing Admiral, he was hit by a speeding pickup.

"It wasn't a car that was coming down Admiral that hit me, it was a car that came from behind me from one of those parking lots," Wright said.

The impact left Wright with a broken rib, fractured leg and a cracked pelvis and tailbone.

The driver took off.

"Someone that sees someone hit by a truck, sees them launched out of their shoes and socks, goes flying and landing in the middle of one of the busiest roads in Tulsa," Wright said.

Thankfully, Wright wasn't run over by another vehicle.

"I could have died out there. Someone could have ran me over. I'm just lucky that I didn't," Wright said.

The accident sent Wright to the hospital for a week, adding up more than $50,000 in medical bills.

It also will postpone his plans to go to college this summer.

"There was something wrong with this guy, because he didn't stop. He took off," Wright said.

Police found a Dodge Ram ornament at the scene. The pickup is believed to be a late ‘80s or early ‘90s model, and is gray.

"I wish the man would come forward and be an adult about this and admit his mistake," Wright said.

Doctors say it will be a six-month recovery. When he recovers, Wright said he'll be more careful and won't take a single day for granted.

"I'm very grateful for the fact I didn't get killed," he said.

He said he's hopeful someone will come forward with information that could lead to the driver.

"I just feel like I have a second chance," Wright said.

The truck that hit Wright may have had a concrete mixer or a tank in the back of the pickup.

Anyone with information that could help is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
