Head football coach at Oklahoma Panhandle State University, Russell Gaskamp, has added 33 hopefuls to his 2013 recruiting class and said the following:

First, I want to commend the work done by the assistant coaches during the recruiting process. They have worked tirelessly over the last two months to find the best players possible to bring to OPSU for our first recruiting class. Second, I would like to thank all of the players who have made the commitment to be a part of our football program. We have sold a vision of "Strength, Unity, and Family" and they know that here at OPSU they will join a brotherhood of young men that find academics, community service, and character development important.

The two most notable things about our class are the balance of great football players from Oklahoma and Texas and the physical attributes of the players. This list does not represent the whole class that we will sign; there will be a handful of players that will sign over the next few weeks.

But our staff has been able to identify excellent student athletes from both states that will fit in here at OPSU and be heavy contributors to the program sooner rather than later. We had to get bigger as a football team from a frame and size standpoint and we feel like we were able to accomplish this with the new additions.

Aggie fans can "like" the Oklahoma Panhandle State University Official Football Facebook page and gain access to highlight videos of the recruits as they come in. These videos will be posted in the next few days. We are very excited about this class and look forward to when they report in the fall!
