The Grady County Sheriff's Office has canceled a Silver Alert for a 74-year-old man who disappeared Tuesday.

Allen Byfield was found late Thursday night. The sheriff's office says Byfield has been reunited with his family.

A Silver Alert was issued for Byfield Tuesday when drove away from Chickasha. Because he has Alzheimer's disease and takes dementia medication, his family was very worried about his safety.

An Oklahoma Highway Patrol officer spotted Byfield Thursday morning in Caddo County, where he apparently asked for directions to Chickasha.

It's not known where Byfield was found, but the Grady County Sheriff's Office says he is well, and his family is very grateful for the public's help.
