Cold rain transitioning to snow later this afternoon may mean accumulations of 1 to 3 inches for those counties, according to News On 6 WARN Team meteorologist Alan Crone.

Snow is falling in western Oklahoma, and there's a chance of some snow in Green Country later in the day and evening Tuesday. The Tulsa area may see accumulations of snow from .05 inches to near an inch.

"The Tulsa area will experience a cold rain event until late this afternoon when rain may change to light snow late tonight," Crone said in his weather blog Tuesday morning.

"There may be some issues on bridges and overpasses Wednesday morning along and northwest of the I-44 corridor. Major issues are not expected in our immediate areas of concern," he said.

Locations from Stillwater to Pawnee and northwestern Osage County could receive a swath of 1 to 3 inches snowfall, Crone said. A small area of northeastern Arkansas may also be in the running for an inch to near 1.5 inches.

The next system expected to impact Green Country will arrive Thursday night with a slight chance of snow showers in the forecast for Friday morning.
