Will Kavanagh pilots Osage SkyNews 6 and reports the news from the air getting News on 6 places you can't get with a ground crew.
Some of the more recent stories Will has covered include a cold and daring river rescue, the first coverage of the Joplin tornado damage and last year's wildfires. Will's aerial weather coverage of blizzards, tornadoes and other natural disasters has kept Oklahomans informed, up-to-date and safe.
Will is a 28-year veteran of the U.S. Army and has been deployed across the globe including Korea, Europe and Iraq. He attended Ft. Benning Infantry School, Ft. Rucker Aviation School and Fresno State University. He flew in the early 1990s when rioters were taking over Los Angeles, and in New York City after the 9/11 Terror Attack. Post 9/11 in NYC, Will transitioned from active-duty military to full-tme news pilot for Fox News covering the cleanup and memorials of the Twin Towers. Will's well rounded experience with EMS, military and police tactical and major civil disturbances make him an asset in the air and on the ground.
Will considers his family his best investment. Having lost so much time with deployments, his focus, like so many Oklahomans, is his family. This is just one reason Will and his family feel so at home here in Green Country. When he's not behind the controls, Will enjoys working on his land and learning to build structures from the dirt up.
