The Oklahoma State women's basketball team needed a pick-me-up performance after a Bedlam beatdown on Sunday. They got it from freshman Brittney Martin.

After fouling out early against Oklahoma on Sunday, Martin put up 21 points to lead the Cowgirls to a 64-54 win over West Virginia in Morgantown.

Tiffany Bias scored 14 points and Toni Young had a double-double with 12 points and 16 rebounds for Oklahoma State.

Averee Fields scored 21 to lead the Mountaineers, while Christal Caldwell chipped in with 16 points.

The Cowgirls shot the ball well from the field, hitting 48 percent of their shots. OSU hounded West Virginia into 30.3 percent shooting for the game, including a measly 25.7 percent showing in the second half.

Despite giving up 21 offensive rebounds and turning the ball over 23 times, the Cowgirls were able to grab a lead at the 7:42 mark of the first half on a jumper from Young. OSU wouldn't trail again, using a 10-0 in the first half to take a 30-22 lead.

After an early burst in the second half by West Virginia cut the deficit to 37-35 in favor of OSU, the Cowgirls went on a 14-5 run to blow open the game at 51-40 with 9:47 to play.

Oklahoma State is back at home on Saturday when the Cowgirls take on Kansas State at 4 p.m.
